The Oily Guide to Facial Oils

I've started making my foray into facial oils, and these are the three that I decided to start out with- one by Tarte, one by Peter Thomas Roth, and one by the Body Shop.  I'm really happy with what these have been doing for my skin, so let me share my opinions with you!

The Eyes Have It

Eyes are the window to the soul, or sometimes the doors, depending on if you watch Doctor Who or not. Anyway, there are thousands of eye creams out there but which ones are the best to use? Should you be using them even if you're young and don't need wrinkle reduction? What about those puffy allergy and morning eyes, what do you do about that? Well fear no more! Here is what I have found in my journey's through throngs of eye creams and puffy eye de-puffers.

Take Care of Your Nails Before You Polish

It's no secret that I love nail polish, and most things nail related- except emory boards, yuck!  Since this winter has been especially brutal, I have found myself taking better care of my nails and cuticles.  Today I'm going to share with you the products I use on my nails prior to any nail polish application and in my day to day.  I hope you enjoy! XOXO

Sally's+Ulta Haul

Soooo, my spending ban lasted longer than I thought it would- I only broke a month away from my actual goal, which I'm pretty proud of.  My friend and I went out today and went to Sally's and Ulta's, which was like putting a child in a candy store. The temptation was real folks, and I eventually succumbed to it.  Anywho, here is what I got on my breaking day!

Rimmel Exaggerate Shadow Primer: Review!

Over my Christmas break, I had a bit of a haul at Target and this is one of the products I picked up- Rimmel Exaggerate Shadow Primer.  I'm a bit of a eyeshadow-holic, and having vivid colors on my lids is my favorite thing so a primer is a must.  Here's what I thought about it.

Garnier Charcoal Blackhead Eliminating Scrub: Review!

I've been having some trouble with my skin as of late, and blackheads have been a big problem.  So the other day when I was in Target, I decided to pick this up and give it a go.  Here's what I thought-

A Valentine's Day Look

Happy Valentine's Day, or Singles Awareness Day, whichever you celebrate.  Either way, it's a time when I can wear pink, pink, and more pink.  Please excuse the sad state of my hair in this photo.

Birchbox Opening and Initial Reaction!

Today I received my monthly gift, no not that monthly gift, I'm talking about my Birchbox! Especially since I've been on my spending ban, these have become more and more precious because they're the only new products I receive each month.  This month I was really pleased to see that I had gotten not one, but two Smashbox products that I have been dying to try.  Keep reading to see what all I received in my box!

Mad Men

This is a look I did yesterday to film a scene from the TV show 'Mad Men' for my film class.  I also have to replicate this look exactly on Friday, hence why I took so many pictures.  These are only half of them!  I hope you like this look!

I read the part of Peggy who, in the Pilot, is conservative and plain (for the 50's) so that is how I dressed.  I wore flat boots, a black pencil skirt, a red scoop shirt (which happens to be my best friend's shirt), and a wide black belt.  I do own some 50's style dresses but they didn't go with the character.  I wore simple faux pearl studs and faux pearl necklace to complete the look.

12 Facts About Me

I've seen quite a few other bloggers doing this and I figured I would jump on the bandwagon and do a '12 Facts About Me' post! I would love to see you guys do them too, so link them below or add a fact about yourself so I can get to know my lovely readers. XOXO

Give me a 'Lil' Lip'

Laqa & Co. Lil' Lip color/ pencil in berry red.  I received this in my Birchbox in December and just got around to trying it today.  I decided that I wanted to look a little put together on my snow day, so I grabbed this and was pleasantly surprised.

Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes: REVIEW

I am a Rimmel girl through and through when it comes to mascara so for me to try another brand's mascara, it has to be a big deal.  I had heard a lot of good things about the Falsies line from Maybelline and so I figured I would give their newest mascara a shot and here is what I thought.

A Blusher of a Problem

In light of the, erm, heavy snowfall today, I took out all of my blushers to show you guys and created this very picture heavy post.  Whilst doing this, I realized I may never have to purchase a blusher for another ten years! Including these, I also have a palette that has four blushers in it and another Stila self adjusting cheek color in Coral which I forgot to photograph. So let's get started, shall we?

Stila Cosmetics Limited Edition Kitten set: REVIEW

Over the holidays, Stila had a few sets out that had their favorite colors in them.  One of these sets had their ever popular color Kitten in it with two lip glosses, an eye shadow, and a highlighting duo.

Weekly Roundup #3: Down in the Heart of Texas

This wasn't a too exciting week, except for the wonderful fact that I went down to Texas for the weekend to spend some time with my family.  This meant I got to spend time in the airport, which I love, and there just happened to be a Body Shop in the Houston airport so of course I had to stop in.  Seeing as this is the first little fault in my spending ban, I think I'm doing pretty well for myself.
I picked up two things from The Body Shop- their Tea Tree Oil, which I've heard great things about, and their cream lipstick in the color number three which is a frosty light pink color.  I had been wanting to pick up tea tree oil and give it a try for some time because I've heard it does great things for the skin but the lipstick was a surprise.  I've started to shy away from frosty finishes, but this lipstick caught my eye and when I swatched it, I fell in love.  I will definitely be posting reviews for this week.
