Makeup Revolution Palette Review

Hello my lovely stars, long time no speak! I'm sorry for the fairly long, unintentional, break from my blog- life got hectic with the show I'm in and life got away from me.  We're up and running now, so I'm back in the saddle again and heading right out of the gate with a review of the Makeup Revolution London palette from Ulta.  Specifically the Iconic 3 Redemption eyeshadow palette, the rose gold one.  What caught my eye about this product is that it was only $7 and my thought was, oh boy this is going to be bad but... Well, just keep reading.

Bare Minerals Products: REVIEW!

For my birthday I was lucky enough to receive some Bare Minerals makeup.  I haven't used mineral makeup in years, ever since I stopped using Pur Minerals powder. I received a small pallette and a package of lipglosses and here is what I thought after applying them and wearing them for a day.

Maybelline Nudes palette- Yay or Nay: June Jubilee! Day 1

Hello Stars! Welcome to my new series, June Jubilee!- there is really no rhyme or reason to these posts and videos but they're all going to try and have a happy theme because, ya know, "Jubilee!" I know, cheesy right? Well, I'm a cheesy person ;)  Anyway, as you probably guessed from the title of today's post I will be reviewing the Nudes palette by Maybelline.  Now, don't judge it before you read this review or try it folks- you will be surprised.  The palette looks like this:

The palette itself is quite durable, hard plastic casing with a clear plastic window so you can see the colors.  There is a good mixture of mattes and shimmer/sparkle colors- I was pleasantly surprised.  The only colors that are truly quite chalky are the two whites- top left corner, and second from the bottom right.  Even then, they are still usable unlike I was lead to believe by videos and blog posts bashing this palette.   So after hearing nothing but bad things about this palette I decided that I wanted to give it a try for myself, and I'm very glad I did.  I discovered that, with the right brushes and primer, the shadows can actually look quite nice.
Here are a few of the colors swatched on my fingers:
The far right  (not my pinkie, no shadow on that finger) did get a bit washed out due to flash and bad back lighting.    But that is only two swipes of each color, pretty good for a $9.99 drugstore palette, non?  Here is the look that I created with this palette, not totally me because it's a bit smokey but I was pleasantly surprised with how well a look that I had not planned at all turned out.
I stuck mainly to the taupes for the lid and then took one of the shimmery dark browns and popped that in the crease.  I know shock horror shimmer in the crease but it can be done tastefully, I tell you! I promise! I then took the shimmery white, which was just the tiniest bit chalky, and highlighted my brow bone and then took the gold color and gently popped it into the corner of my eye to help open them up.  I then tight- lined my eyes with a simple NYX black liner and then used the Wet n Wild Max Volume mascara to finish the look off and I think it came off pretty well considering this palette was bashed left, right, and to the moon.  What do you think of this look? Would you now consider getting this palette? I definitely want to get the Blushed Nudes palette.  XOXO

Wet n' Wild review!

Hello Stars! How have you been? Good I hope!!  Today I want to share with you one of my most favorite finds, for a  really low prices.  This, ladies and gentlemen is the Wet n' Wild 'Comfort Zone' palette.  The left side is more for stage left side and more of a going out look, or  a night look that has darker tones perfect night out.The paleter i d
The color pay off is absolutely amazing for a $4 dollar product.. Also, there is little to no fall out with these, are out when applying htis and it lasts all day, especially if you use the ELF my products. My favorite color is the one in the bottom right- it's got a duochrome thing going on where in one look it looks grey and in another it looks green and I think that it is such a pretty color and I love it! Not only is there very little fall out it is also soft and buttery, NOT POWDERY which is hard to find in more purse friendly brands.like ELF except for their prism shadows.
This swatch is of the left side of the palette, you can't see the highlight color because it is super light and shimmery but all of the other swatches I dipped my finger in once into the palette and look how pigmented they came out.  It's a very good palette indeed. :)
This is a swatch of the right side and, unlike the high lighting shadow on the left side this is a lot easier to see. Again these are all just one swipe.
Alrght guys this the end of tho post, I hope you enjoyed! Remember, BE BEAUTIFUL, BE BOLD, BE YOU. <3/

Colour Pop! Initial Reaction

My Colour Pop package arrived today and I am so excited to be sharing them with you! I got six eyeshadows and two lip colors and they are just so beautiful, I just sat there and looked at them for a good five minutes before I even swatched them and *drools* OH MY GOD they are so buttery and beautiful and pigmented and soft and sparkly and beautiful. Here, just look at the pictures below.
I went with more metallicy colors because that's what I wanted. I got a gold, a bronze, a light gold, a rose gold, silver, and a white.  I love rose gold! If you have any rose gold things you love, comment down below because I would love to try it out!
I ot the lippy sticks in Rocket and Juicy- Rocket is a very neon bright pink and Juicy is a bright pink as well but leans towards the more every day sort of pink shade but is still shockingly bright.
I can't think of the exact names right now but from left to right is the white, light gold, gold, silver, rose gold, and bronze.   They are so creamy and a dream to swatch.  The texture is very pillowy and soft and definitely something you need to apply with your fingers or a very fluffy brush.
Have you tried Colour Pop? If not, you should because the pricing is amazing- their eyeshadows and lippy sticks are $5 and their blushes are $8 so they are definitely worth checking out and trying :) XOXO

Stila 'Eyes Are The Window' SOUL palette REVIEW

During the Sephora VIB sale, I purchased two things- a foundation by Makeup Forever and the Stila The Eyes Are the Window to the Soul palette.  I love that all of the colors are neutral and all of the colors work together with each other so there are endless options for how you could use this palette and use it.
Can we just talk about this packaging? I mean, isn't it gorgeous?! It's so pretty and looks so high end, I just love it! The S's are a gold, rose gold, and a silver-ish type of color and then is surrounded by gold, albeit not real gold.  It is a magnetic open and close palette but it's a very sturdy casing and could take a beating and your eyeshadows would still be just fine.
The colors for the palette are are neutral and smokey colors, which makes the transition from day to night with one palette very easy.  There are 4 matte shades (there may be five, but I'm still debating on if it's actually matte) and the rest of the colors have a shimmer to them.  Not really a glitter shimmer but just a nice shimmer shimmer to it.  I have not had any problem with fall out with this palette, which is great.
This palette was released alongside three others in honor of Stila's 20th Anniversary.  They cost $49 each, which is a bit steep but I did get it at the sale so that is how I justified it.  Do you have any of these palettes? Which do you like best? Would you buy this palette if given the chance? I would love to know! XOXO

Palette's Galore!

I have always talked about the palette's I use, but I've never showed you just how many palettes I own.  Now, I'm sure this is nothing compared to bigger bloggers who have a whole ton of palettes but I'm getting there.

Urban Decay Moondust: REVIEW!

I talked briefly about this product in yesterday's post and figured I would do a full review of Urban Decay's Moondust eyeshadow in Glitter Rock which is a pinky purple glitter eyeshadow. You can purchase them on the Urban Decay Website, at Ulta, or Sephora for $20.  Like most eyeshadows, this can be used wet or dry but personally I prefer to use them dry.

And then there was one (or four)

I'm a palette kind of person when it comes to eyeshadows but when it comes to certain colors I just feel the need to own them on their own. The other thing is that they are all different brands too, drugstore to high end. Here are my individual thoughts on the four individual shadows I own :)

Go Bold or Go Home

I love crazy bright colors, especially when it comes to makeup but the other day I went to Lawrence, Kansas to see Combichrist (headliner) and William Control (one of the opening acts).  The only concerts I had been to were rock and roll, i.e. The Who, so wild and crazy makeup was never needed and for everyday I like to go for a more natural, glittery look.  So, when this metal concert came up and I decided to go, I knew I wanted to wear some crazy bright eyeshadows and luckily the clothes I borrowed from my friend was my favorite color combination.  Here's what I did!
Everything minus the shorts is my best friend's clothes.  But I did pink and green through my hair and on my eyes.  I, luckily, happened to have pink and green hair clip ins and so that worked out perfectly.  The biggest thing about me pulling off this look was confidence and bravery so if you want to try bold colors, just go for it!

Weekly Roundup #6: March Favorites

Hello lovelies! Better late than never, right? So here it is my weekly roundup of my favorite march products.
1) It's no secret that I prefer men's deodorant scents to women's deodorant, and I picked this one up on special at Walmart.  I got the brand Old Spice in the scent of Aqua Reef. It goes on and has a cooling sensation and it lasts and works all day.
2) I've raved about this before and I'll rave about it again, Soap and Glory's Hand Food is my favorite hand lotion.  I love it so much that I have repurchased it already from Sephora.   I also purchased the Righteous Body Butter and the Clean Girls body wash, but I'll post about those at a later date when I've had a chance to test drive them out.
3) E.L.F. Makeup brush was clothes are now my little time saving beauties.  They are like the makeup wipes for your eyes but you can use them to clean your brushes in between deep cleansing.  The best thing about these little babies? They are under $5.
4) I finally found a Tangle Teezer at Ulta the other day, and now I can see what people were raving about when this became big in Europe.  I got mine in pink, of course, and have been using it everyday.  My hair may be short right now but it actually does what it says on the packaging.  I am really pleased with this.
5) FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, I finally was able to get the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette into my eager little hands.  I am in love with this palette, it is a wonderful combination of gorgeous colors- I love the rose gold theme going on this year, it's gorgeous and lovely and ahhhh I just love it!
What have you been loving this past month? XOXO
