Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation: First Impressions and Review!

Hello my beautiful Stars! Today, I'm going to share with you my first impressions and initial review of the BRAND NEW Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation which was graciously given to me by Influenster for review.  But do not fret, all opinions are honest and completely my own- let's get started!

First, I'm going to start with my review and then give you my first impressions.  I know that's a bit backwards, but it's how I would like to do it.
So, I've been using this product for about a week now (a full week this Wednesday) and I'm already starting to see a difference.  When I wear it, I definitely see a difference in my skin and skin tone even though it is a light to medium coverage product but I also see a slight difference when I'm not wearing the makeup.  Considering that I've been using it for a little less than a week, I think that's pretty good! The consistency of the product is very nice- not super liquidy but not so thick that it cakes up within seconds of touching your face. I really like the fact that it comes in a pump bottle so you can better control how much product you get out instead of pouring it onto a sponge or your hand and hoping for the best.  I have also found that the best way to apply this foundation is with a buffing brush (shown below)

This is the Crown buffing brush and it applies the product beautifully.  Not to mention that this is just a beautiful product in general.

Okay, so now for my first impressions.  I have to admit I was skeptical at first because, I mean, I've tried other products before that have promised to change something about your skin but they never do.  Yet after my first use, I noticed a change in my skin- in the good way!  There is no scent, which makes it great for people with sensitive skin or allergies and it is a light to medium coverage which makes it great for people who are younger and older.  When I first put it on my hand to test the color, I was afraid that it looked to yellow but then when I put it on my face it was the most perfect match I have ever had with a drugstore foundation.  I did find, however, after trial and error that this applies best with a buffing brush and not a sponge and definitely not a flat foundation brush.  The sponge just soaked up all of the product and the flat foundation brush made it look streaky yet using the buffing brush really worked well to make it look like my natural skin just a bit better.  I am very very pleased with this product and I can't wait to see what my skin looks like at the end of the three weeks! Here is the picture I took on the first day:

Note that I am not wearing any powder or any other makeup, and there is no trace of excessive oiliness which also really pleased me.  I really strongly suggest heading to your local Wallgreens/Walmart/Target/whatever to pick up this foundation.  I know I want to get the concealer next to see if that will help my skin too!
Have you tried this foundation? What do you think of it? XOXO

***I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.***
