I picked this up a couple of months back when I was in Wallgreens because I was low on soap and it was there. I didn't look at the 'No Harmful Chemicals" and "plant based" until I got home. When I saw this I became skeptical of its cleaning ability because, for me, natural products don't work so well for me. Luckily, I was more than pleasantly surprised. It has a light scent of lemons and it isn't overpowering. I also find that it surprisingly doesn't dry my hands out even though there is no moisturizer in it. I like the fact that it is all natural and it works, and the price isn't too bad either, under $10 if I remember correctly. That does sound like a lot, but with the size of the bottle and how little you have to use each time, it will last you a lot longer than you think. Also, the packaging is just super cute and catches my eye which makes me more inclined to buy something.
Have you ever tried any Ology products? XOXO

Model Co. Cosmetics Party Proof lipstick: Review
I received this lipstick in one of my Birchboxes a couple months ago and I've been meaning to do a review because it is FABULOUS! This lipstick is matte, but it doesn't dry my lips out or accentuate the lines in my lips. The color I received is called "Disco Fever", which is a salmony pink color. It's a nice color to wear during the day because on me it's a flattering subtle pink. The packaging is really nice too, the top of the lid is clear so that you can see the color without actually having to open the tube. My biggest qualm, and it's not even that big, is that the lipstick itself is very soft. It's very smushy, making me afraid to use it for fear of ruining it since I have no clue when I could get another one. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product especially to those with dry or cracked lips who want to give matte lipsticks a try. I am really pleased with this product.

FOTD: Commercial Style
No, I mean commercial style as in a commercial audition. I kept my face and eyes simple, with a nice bold lip and big lashes. I used my BH cosmetics 2nd edition eye shadow palette to create a nice, subtle, champagne colored eye. That way, it doesn't look too bold but there is something there that creates a pop in my eyes. I LOVE BH cosmetics, especially their eye shadows. They are highly pigmented (especially used with a primer before hand), have very little fallout, the palettes are expansive and inexpensive, and they have a great color pay off. I own the second and third edition, as well as the Day to Night palette, and love every color and have not been disappointed with it. For my mascara I first put on a layer of Rimmel's new Lash Accelerator Endless and then put on a second coat of Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara and boy oh boy did they make my lashes look good. I used the NYX kohl liner, since my Urban Decay eye liner is down to a little nuby.
For my cheeks, I used NYX blush in pinched and then a NYX highlighter. I used Too Face's chocolate bronzer for contouring because it is a matte bronzer. I'm still learning how to contour, so it's a process. My foundation was, surprise surprise, Revlon Photo Ready Liquid Foundation in Ivory and then topped with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in fair. On my lips I used the new Revlon chubby stick lip color that is in the same tube like the Just Kissed Lip Balm Stain but it has a glossy finish. I am in love with this lip color and product line, it all has a nice minty smell, stays on really well, and doesn't dry my lips out.
Stay lovely, my girls. XOXO

When there's no Vicks to be found...
When there is no Vicks Vapor Rub to be found in my endless supply of stuff in my room, I substitute with Icy Hot Balm.
I seem to have caught a nasty cold and double ear infection, so I'm all congested which means I wanted something to help me breathe- enter Icy Hot Balm! It's not as good as Vicks Vapor Rub but it does the trick. It's got the eucalyptus and spearmint scents that help to open up my sinuses. In a pinch, this stuff works great. I'm quite pleased with my discovery. And that's my post for the day. XOXO

Some Light Reading
Being at the airport means that I get to buy magazines, so this time around I picked up Cosmo (a must) and In Style Beauty. There weren't very many makeup tips in the Cosmo, typical, but I still enjoyed a nice read. What I was really excited to read was In Style Beauty and I was not disappointed. It had some really great new tips as to what to do to play with color, as well as there being an article about what you need to wear (makeup wise) in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s+. I really enjoyed reading the article because it gives me a chance to plan ahead, haha! Plus, the magazine had some great pictures which was great because that's how I learn new techniques and styles best. What do you read to stay up to date with your beauty library? XOXO
