Eyelash Curlers, Torture Chambers or Objects of Brilliance?

Earlier today I was asked by one of my friends what the best eyelash curlers are and that got me thinking, besides answering just her question why not also calm the nerves of those just entering into makeup and trying one of them for the first time?  They look like 'torture chambers' as my boyfriend calls them but they truly aren't.  They do require a bit of finesse but once you've got it down, you're golden. So let's get started with some of the best curlers out there and then I'll explain, to the best of my ability, on how to use them.  Shall we begin?

My Favorite Makeup Bags

Hello lovely readers! Tonight I'm going to do a little bit of chitchating about my favorite makeup bags, specifically, the ones I use for my love of travel.  The two bags in the back are from Victoria Secret on a gift with purchase deal, there are actually three of these but the smallest one isn't used for makeup so I did not include it.  These bags are great for both storage and travel because one is medium sized (R) and one is quite large (L).  The larger one carries all of my lip products (which proves how big it is because I have A LOT of lip products).  The medium sized one is actually the bag I put into my backpack with quick refreshers such as powder, mascara, and face towelettes.  The final bag in the collection I actually got on special at Ulta.  This could easily double for an evening clutch.  I've been using it to carry more medicine around right now than makeup, but it works great for both, oh, and it zippers shut.  I think that makes it a winner. Makeup bags come in all shapes and sizes and make a great accessory to any suitcase. XOXO

Some Light Reading

Being at the airport means that I get to buy magazines, so this time around I picked up Cosmo (a must) and In Style Beauty.  There weren't very many makeup tips in the Cosmo, typical, but I still enjoyed a nice read.  What I was really excited to read was In Style Beauty and I was not disappointed.  It had some really great new tips as to what to do to play with color, as well as there being an article about what you need to wear (makeup wise) in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s+.  I really enjoyed reading the article because it gives me a chance to plan ahead, haha!  Plus, the magazine had some great pictures which was great because that's how I learn new techniques and styles best.  What do you read to stay up to date with your beauty library?
